When there is rollback information for the package it is checked if the new package version corresponds with the new version. The initialisation is done, the wanted proc is executed and deinitialisation is done. This is a bit bigger script, about 200 lines. With this in mind below the code I wrote. Sadly pip only checks dependencies after the install. It is also handy to have a rollback facility, for when an automatically or manually installed package breaks something. Other packages you should not update because of dependencies. Except when they can be installed without risk like youtube-dl.

You should not install packages in which the major number changes, because with those there is a big chance they break dependencies.
